Walking Time Estimator

Estimate how long your walk will take using Naismith's rule, which accounts for both distance and elevation gain.

About Naismith's Rule

Naismith's rule is a well-known guideline for estimating walking time. It allows a base walking speed plus an extra minute for every 10 metres of ascent. This calculator adjusts the base speed according to your fitness level. Remember to add extra time for rest stops, photos, and navigation in poor visibility.
